Dark Danny and Poindexter have the most crafty version of Overshadowing imo. Dark Danny can absorb another ghost along with their powers and Poindexter can swap bodies with the person while transporting his own body and the victim's soul to his dimension. Of course minus obvious limitations like having a *consistent* resistance to mind hax, or soul in Poindexter's case. Dark Danny having to maintain composure to use the ghost as his core and Poindexter lacking fighting skill (while relying on the moves of his opponent) are a noticable weakness to their versions of Overshadowing

How i believe made Danny turn into Dark Dan i think wat may have happened was dat all de pain of losing his friends n family in an accident dat he couldve prevented made him go to Vlad for help since everyone else is dead but Vlad probably wanted him to destroy Danny P.once he removed his ghost half but since Danny Phatom wouldnt allow it he mustve ripped Plasmius outta Masters before Plasmius could destroy Phantom ...they may had a witty banter bk n force or plasmius mustve dared Phantom to do something so Phantom taking dat as a challenge phased into Plasmius n merged wit him to try to destroy Plasmius but Plasmius may have overpowered Phantom n turned him homicidial ...After DarK Dan killed his human half he may have destroyed de mansion n left after it was destoryed unaware Masters was alive...but dis is just my theory
